Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2004

 

Looking down on the newly redesigned ISIS Rack in Silver, one of two ISIS racks used in our room. The new ISIS features a new shelf design which improves shelf rigidity and strength, and combines it with Symposium's famous Rollerblock® and Svelte Shelf technologies for simultaneous equipment damping plus isolation, which adds up to comprehensive vibration control of electronic components. Shown here are the "Svelte" level versions, which borrow from the proven stainless steel technology used in the Symposium "Svelte Shelf." The bottom level of the rack features a 23" deep "XL Svelte" level that fits into the same footprint as the standard 21" x 19" shelves and is ideal for very large power amplifiers. Rollerblock® Modules with patented Magnetic Bearing Bias are built-in to the legs at the first and third levels. This system isolates not just the shelves but the entire rack above where they're installed, creating Compound Isolation(TM) which multiplies the isolation characteristics of each Rollerblock® system.

At the top of the rack is Emotive Audio's state-of-the-art Epifania line stage, with Naim's CDX-2 CD player below.
