Rick Hashimoto, RTI's master presser, and Steve inspect a new metal stamper before it's put into service. This stamper is a metallic impression of the original lacquer, which contains the analog information - in other words, grooves. In OTHER other words, this is a true analog of the originally cut master lacquer. Placed inside the giant press, it will mold an actual side of a record out of heated virgin vinyl.
By the way, notice some of the titles mounted on the back wall. Recognize any of 'em? They've all been made right here at RTI.
